How To Deliver Rich Requirements?

Requirements are not just user stories. Textual requirements, even when arranged into a prescribed format and tracked in a backlog, are still insufficient to understand the big picture.

To achieve a shared understanding of requirements (the vision of the desired solution), you need rich requirements.

How to do that?

You supplement requirements with visuals, diagrams, and matrices, and structure them to reflect the product breakdown. You may need storyboards or user story maps. There are many techniques to choose from based on the type of project and the type of solution you are working on.

Rich requirements create a shared understanding.
